INTRO

WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

This project is basically the creation of a world that is explored and developed through shoots. Where characters, themes and ideas can develop from one shoot to the next.

Just as you can explore fictional worlds by watching films, reading books, playing computer games and so on, the exploration of this world will be via shoots and all that is involved in those shoots.

This will not be limited to one or two genres such as fantasy or post-apocalyptic which this kind of project would be suited to. Yes it will involve sword and sorcery, mythical, medieval, artistic, horror, steampunk, post apocalyptic and sci-fi, but also fetish, latex, abstract, boudoir, metal and so on.

Every model involved will be a character. A character that can be developed. This can mean development emotionally, thematically and through interaction with others. You can invent and develop your character yourself or you can leave that to me, the level of involvement is entirely up to yourself.

The whole development will be organic, by that I mean that in many cases we’ll have a basic shoot idea to fit in with all of this, but not until the final images are up that we see how exactly it fits in and where it leads to. In some cases we’ll have a very specific image and storyboard to fulfil. What I’m trying to avoid is having something very rigid that actually prevents the whole idea expanding in effect on its own.

It would be alot easier picking something existing like Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Star Wars, Dune, FarCry, Skyrim, Superheroes etc as then it would be easy to think of a shoot scenario to fit in,  but I don’t want to re-create something thats already out there, this is about creating something unique

HOW DO YOU GET INVOLVED?

Simple, you let me know you want to be involved either on the facebook page or by private message.
You don’t have to come up with any character ideas or anything like that, BUT if you want to, you can come up with the whole lot - character, name, history, personality, appearance, what they do, where they live, who they know and so on, or anything in between. Its entirely up to you, there are no pre-requisites. I may suggest an idea to you, but if its not someone or something you want to be then thats fine, we’ll think of something else. You don't have to be some geeky fantasy mad game player, you can treat this simply as a model involved in a shoot......or you can be a total geek and get involved in all aspects of this.

HOW WILL IT WORK?

Shoots will be planned as with any shoot, but they will either be storyboarded or just shot for a set of images which can be used afterwards. Initially they may just show the character/characters in their ‘normal’ life. They may be shot to show the characters history or some important event in their life. They may involve interaction with other characters.

Then depending on what happens, how other shoots pan out, we’ll see where these characters go from there.

SCENARIOS

Heres just a few that I’ve been developing. The names dont really give much to go on, but they are developing in my head, the point is that allkinds of scenarios can be created.

Post apocalyptic survivors

Land of Vampires

Fetish scenes - from exotic court scenes to futuristic pleasure workers

Fire Witches

Amazon mercenaries

Angelii (mythical half demon half angels)

Guild of Assassins

Dragons

Sorceresses and witches

Elementals

Cyber warriors

Barbarians/gladiators

There are massive possibilities, where each scenario and characters all have their place in this world. This means lots of shoot possibilities, for individuals and groups. Each scenario can be developed, and maybe result in offshoots.

At the moment all these scenarios appear unlinked, but they eventually will be linked by certain developments which at the moment I’m keeping to myself. The whole point is to not have anything that restricts what happens by knowing the rest of the picture.

WHERE WILL THE RESULTS GO

Each shoot can go into an album on the facebook page. Some of the shoots could be put together like a graphic novel, and there are places where you can self publish photobooks, mags etc on line – hopefully there will be enough material good enough to do this with. Blogs are  also a possibility to update whats happening with the project and also to outline the stories portrayed in each scenario.

WHAT I NEED

Obviously the first thing I need is models. I will also need MUA’s, stylists, FX artists, props.

Locations – anything unusual. As some of you will already know I’ve used all kinds of locations for past shoots, but anything new is worth looking at, castles, ruins, urbex derelict sites, ex-military, airfields, museums, churches, caves, snowy peaks, endless deserts – any suggestions, throw them this way
